Imagine a medieval Milan, a city that, despite the beauty of its churches and palaces, was governed by strict rules and strong control. This was reflected in the large number of prisons, which were supposed to ensure strict security… but the reality, as is often the case, was much more complex.
On our route, we will retrace the history of some of these prisons, revealing the secrets of how they were managed and the powerful figures who commissioned them. One of the most feared names is that of Bernabò Visconti, the “wicked” lord of Milan, who exercised his power from his residence in Piazza Missori.
But that's not all. Over the centuries, Milan's stories have been intertwined with dark legends, some of which feature the Devil himself.
