At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Merida to begin a tour of the famous and mysterious Puuc Route, a region renowned for its impressive archaeological legacy. The word Puuc means “hill” or “mountain” in Mayan, and refers to this unique area of southern Yucatan.
Our first stop will be in Labná, an ancient Mayan city known for its fine architectural details and beautiful stone constructions. Later, we'll visit Kabah, Sayil, and Xlapak, three important archaeological sites that are part of the Puuc Route. During the journey, your tour guide will share information about the history, architecture, and symbolism of these impressive Mayan structures.
We'll continue to Uxmal, one of the most important archaeological sites in Mexico and a World Heritage Site. Here you can admire the Magician's Pyramid, the Governor's Palace, and other iconic buildings that reflect the grandeur of the Mayan civilisation.
Halfway through the tour, we'll stop to enjoy a typical Yucatecan lunch at a local restaurant. At the end, we'll return in comfort to your hotel in Mérida, concluding a day full of history, culture, and traditions.
