Escape the crowds and discover the magic of Le Morne Brabant on an intimate, personalised sunrise or afternoon hike. Limited to just 1–6 guests, this experience is designed for travellers who value genuine connection, personalised guiding and unforgettable moments in nature. Guided by a passionate local Mauritian guide, you’ll discover one of the island’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites at the most beautiful times of day. Le Morne Brabant rises to 556 m above sea level. Our guided hike reaches approximately 490 m at the cross, the highest point reached during the hike.
Sunrise or Afternoon Hikes
Choose the experience that suits you best. Watch the first rays of sunlight illuminate Mauritius from the cross on a breathtaking sunrise hike, or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of an afternoon ascent as the daytime crowds fade. Sunrise departures begin beneath the stars and unfold through the soft colours of dawn, while afternoon departures offer brighter, more vibrant colours as the landscape gradually shifts into dusk.
Trail Breakdown
The ascent takes approximately 1.5 –2 hours at a comfortable pace with regular rest stops. The first section is a steady climb to around 260 metres above sea level before reaching the mountain’s famous rocky scramble, where hands and feet are used for extra stability. Throughout the hike, your guide will provide support and ensure everyone climbs at a pace suited to the group.
The Cross
At the cross, spend around 30 minutes soaking up spectacular panoramic views across Mauritius’ famous turquoise lagoon while enjoying a complimentary summit snack to celebrate your achievement.
