We departure from our selected hotels to travel 18 km from the Estrada da Ponta Negra to the port of Manaos, where our tour begins. It is located in the centre of the city and will do a visit inside it. Then we continue with a brief stop in the front of the Black River Palace, official seat of the State Government and a fine example of architecture of Manaos golden period.
The following point of interest is the Indian Museum, of the Salesian Congregation, the best place to understand the traditions and customs of indigenous peoples. It is a collection of over four thousand pieces made by different tribes that, through the years inhabited the region. The exhibits include household utensils, musical instruments, ornaments and weapons.
Then, we will take an external visit to the Amazons Palace of Justice, built at the behest of Governor Eduardo Ribeiro, this building, inspired by the French and neoclassical styles, has been reconverted and currently functions as a cultural centre.
Finally, the tour ends with a visit inside the Amazon Theatre, inaugurated in 1896, is one of the main tourist attractions of Manaus. Symbol of the golden period of the city.
