What you can expect

  • Join Hiver for a fascinating and delectable exploration into all things cider. Learn how the ‘humble apple’ went from the foothills of Asia to the bellies of the British. Find out how this fermented apple juice became the drink of choice of the Roman Empire. Discover the difference between apple wine and cider, or is it all a matter of opinion? What makes cider sweet or dry?

Learn this and much more in Hiver’s Cider Tasting, located on the Bermondsey Beer Mile, in the heart of London’s craft drinks scene. As you sample a top 5 pick of the UK’s best ciders and cideries, discover the different styles, the history, and the process of how it goes from pip to pint. Enjoy it all alongside a cheeseboard.

Make a day of it, exploring the area, sampling food from nearby Maltby Street Market, and relaxing in the Taproom. Leave with a newfound appreciation of Britain’s oldest bev, plus pack of bee friendly seeds.
