Begin your journey from Kande or Phedi, gradually climbing through lush forests filled with rhododendron, oak, and bamboo. The lower sections of the trail are peaceful and intimate, with moss-covered trees, chirping birds, and occasional glimpses of nearby peaks.

As you ascend beyond Forest Camp and Low Camp, the vegetation thins and sweeping panoramas emerge. The transition from dense woodland to open ridge is one of the trek’s highlights.

Reach Mardi Himal Base Camp (≈4,500 m) for an unforgettable close-up view of Mardi Himal, the majestic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and the Annapurna range. The ridge walk between High Camp and Base Camp is the trek’s most iconic section—narrow, exposed paths with dramatic drops on either side and mountains towering above.

Take in the sunrise and sunset from High Camp, which illuminate Machhapuchhre’s sharp peak in shades of orange, gold, and pink.
