Your adventure takes place at Playa del Jablillo, a calm, sheltered bay in Costa Teguise. Its protected waters, easy shore entry and abundant marine life make it an ideal location for your first scuba dive—without boats, waves or a difficult entry.

Begin with a friendly, easy-to-follow briefing from your professional instructor. Learn how the equipment works, how to breathe comfortably underwater and how to communicate using simple hand signals. Everything is explained step by step, with plenty of time to ask questions and become comfortable.

After getting fitted with all your scuba equipment, enter the water gradually from the shore. Start in shallow water, where your instructor will help you practise a few simple skills and build confidence at your own pace. There is no pressure and no need to rush.

Once you feel ready, begin an approximately 40-minute guided dive through Jablillo’s clear waters. Explore volcanic rock formations and look for colourful fish, crabs and other local marine life while your instructor remains close throughout the experience.

Never dived before or feeling nervous? That is exactly what this activity is designed for. Aquatis instructors specialise in introducing beginners to scuba diving in a calm, patient and supportive environment. Groups are kept small to provide personal attention from the moment you arrive until you leave the water.

Your instructor will also capture photos and videos during the dive, included at no additional cost, so you can enjoy the moment without worrying about a camera—and take home memories of your first underwater adventure.
