The history of this botanical garden began when Samuel Cocking, an Irish trader based in Yokohama, purchased the land and began landscaping. It is still a popular spot for visitors to enjoy various flowers and illuminations each season. The Sea Candle, as its name suggests, is a “lighthouse of the sea. From the top floor, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Enoshima Island.
