Discover the Montes de Valsaín on a guided trekking experience that combines nature, history, and culture.

During the excursion, you'll walk among Scots pines, yews, hollies, and oaks, and you'll get to know the iconic Valsaín pine and the inhabitants of the forest.
We'll cross small waterfalls and crystal-clear streams while learning about the biodiversity, trenches, shelters, and secrets of this protected area in the Sierra de Guadarrama.

Marina López (Tembo Tour), an environmental educator and interpreter, will help you identify the fauna, flora, and natural curiosities.
José Morauca, a historian specialising in the 20th century, will tell you about the events and traces of the past that are still preserved along the trails.

The route is circular: we'll start at the Royal Sawmill of Valsaín, passing by iconic sites such as Cerro del Puerco, Fuente del Ratón, and the National Centre for Environmental Education, while enjoying unique views of the entire mountain range.

With 350 m of elevation gain and 10 km of trail, it is an easy-to-moderate level hike (for people used to walking in the mountains) and takes approximately 5 hours, including stops for rest and food.
Bring food and water, trekking poles if you use them, a raincoat or poncho… and, above all, enthusiasm and a desire to have a good time.
