Unfortunately, the Grand Palace was closed due to an event for the King and we didn't find out until our tour guide brought us there. However, they were able to quickly substitute it for Wat Arun, without hesitation. When we arrived at out hotel, the tour company left us a note reminding us of our tour and when to be ready. They were early to pick us up, provided water and ensured we had the right clothing to enter the temples. We had an amazing experience!

Liked it all. It was very hot, but this is Bangkok. Excellent tour guide. I read a few reviews that suggested the palace was rushed in favour of the reclining buddha, but I mentioned that to her and I didn’t find it an issue (whether anything changed because I mentioned it, I don’t know.) I found the pace reasonable - it is a little rushed, but it’s a guided tour - that’s how they work. I was very conten with everything. Seeing the Queen’s wardrobe was much like the Grace Jelly exhibit. Very nice. If you have good walking shoes that slip off and on, that’s convenient due to all the temples. And respect the listed clothing restrictions - buy a nice loose pair of elephant pants for touring. About 100-150 baht.
