Mountains, volcanoes & spectacular landscapes

Travel through the breathtaking Betancuria Natural Park, winding through spectacular mountain roads and hairpin bends as we make our way towards the south.

Along the way, your expert guide, Pedro, will share fascinating stories about Fuerteventura’s history, culture, traditions and landscapes. Keep your eyes open, too — you may spot eagles, falcons, vultures and other local wildlife soaring above the mountains.

‍Discover the old village of Ajuy

We’ll continue to the authentic fishing village of Ajuy, where you can experience one of the most unique corners of the island.

Enjoy a delicious local lunch and go exploring the famous black-sand beach and dramatic limestone cliffs.
We’ll also walk to the mysterious caves that have been shaped by the ocean over millions of years and are closely connected to the island’s fascinating pirate legends.

Sicasumbre — a landscape from another planet

Our adventure continues into the spectacular southern mountains, where the incredible landscapes of Sicasumbre await! As we make our way higher, the scenery becomes more and more breathtaking. Dramatic volcanic peaks, rugged mountain ridges and vast, untouched landscapes unfold all around us, creating a truly otherworldly feeling.

And then comes the real highlight — the views! From Sicasumbre, we’ll take in absolutely stunning panoramas stretching across Fuerteventura’s southern and western coastlines. Endless horizons, wild mountain scenery and the deep blue Atlantic Ocean come together in one unforgettable moment.

Back towards Caleta & Corralejo

As the day comes to an end, we’ll follow the eastern side of the island, passing volcanic landscapes, traditional villages and vast open plains before returning home…

Throughout the journey, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop, take photographs, enjoy the scenery and simply appreciate the incredible diversity of Fuerteventura.
