Led by a local from Zarautz, your guide will unveil the town's highlights. Stroll along the beach promenade, immerse yourself in the vibrant farmer's market, and savour homemade delights like bread, local cheese, apple jam, and cider.
On Sundays, the market is closed, so we offer a pintxo and beer or an award-winning ice cream in Getaria instead.
Embark on a hike along the Way of St. James, culminating in a visit to a txakoli winery. Sample three exquisite wines paired with pintxos featuring tasty treats like tuna, cheese, and salted anchovies from the village.
Cap off your adventure in Getaria, the coastal town known as the home of Juan Sebastián Elcano, the first man to circumnavigate the earth, and renowned Spanish fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga. Wander through narrow streets adorned with medieval buildings and wooden balconies, while your guide shares captivating tales of these influential figures.
As your tour concludes, choose to board a bus back to San Sebastian with your guide or linger in Getaria to explore independently. Please note that the return bus ticket cost is not included in the tour.
