Explore fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings and panoramic valley views on Cappadocia’s Red Tour. Discover northern Cappadocia with a local guide and hotel transfers, choosing the lunch and entrance ticket option that suits your plans. The day brings together the region’s distinctive landscapes, rock-cut history and local craft traditions.
Begin at Love Valley, where tall rock formations create one of Cappadocia’s most recognisable landscapes. Take in the scenery and capture photographs as your guide introduces the region.
Continue to Paşabağ, also known as Monks Valley, famous for its mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys. Admire the formations and learn how the volcanic landscape provided shelter for people who carved living spaces into the rock.
Explore Zelve Open-Air Museum, a former village spread across a dramatic rocky landscape. Its surviving homes, passages and religious spaces offer a glimpse into the communities that once lived here. Hear their stories from your guide and discover the sections open to visitors.
At Devrent Valley, also called Imagination Valley, look for animal-like figures and other familiar shapes in the naturally sculpted rocks. This scenic stop offers another perspective on Cappadocia’s unusual geology and an opportunity for photographs.
Take a break at a local restaurant before continuing to Avanos, a town beside the Kızılırmak River known for its pottery traditions. Visit a pottery workshop to watch a demonstration, learn about the craft and browse the ceramics available for purchase.
Enjoy views of Uçhisar Castle and the surrounding landscape from a scenic viewpoint. Photograph the impressive rock formation and the valleys beyond. This is an exterior viewpoint stop; castle entry and climbing inside are not included.
The route also includes a leather showroom visit, where products are presented and available to purchase. The showroom and pottery workshop are scheduled craft and retail visits within the shared group itinerary, including for guests who do not wish to shop.
After a day of landscapes, history and local craft visits, return to your hotel with your guide and group.
The order of visits and time at each stop may vary with traffic, site conditions and the group’s pace. Your guide will explain the day’s schedule.
