What you can expect

  • Freising is the oldest town between Regensburg and Bolzano, strategically built on the shores of the Isar River. This city quickly became an important town and religious centre in Bavaria. Today a satellite city of Munich, you will experience the unique ambience of magnificent townhouses, canons from Gothic to Baroque flank, and the lively market street in Freising's old town. Admire Marienplatz square, the centre of this historical ensemble with its Marian Column built in 1674. Stroll on new paths of the medieval episcopal city, and its picturesque alleys. Let yourself emerge in the beauty of Freising’s highlights.
