Enjoy a convenient pick-up and less than an hour relaxed drive to Hisarya. There, you will start with a guided walk of a town celebrated for its mineral springs since Roman times. Founded as a Roman spa centre, Hisarya preserves nearly 4 km of fortress walls — some of the best preserved in Bulgaria. The monumental “Camels Gate” remains a symbol of the town. Just a short walk from the modern thermals, the Roman Baths of Hisarya are among the best-preserved ancient bath complexes in Bulgaria. These ruins date back to the 2nd–3rd century AD, when Hisarya was known as Diocletianopolis, a celebrated Roman spa city built around its natural hot springs. Today you can walk among the remains of large swimming halls, heated floors and aqueduct systems that once supplied water from nearby mineral sources, giving you a glimpse into ancient wellness culture.
