The Bauhaus master Paul Klee went for a walk almost every day. He especially liked to walk in the Georgengarten. For him, going for a walk meant observing the air, the weather, the play of colours in the parks, trees, meadows, lakes and buildings, and enjoying their atmosphere, which he then captured in his paintings.
The English-style landscape park is located very close to the Bauhaus building and the Masters' Houses and was therefore easily accessible for Klee. Here, he not only gathered inspiration for his paintings, but also plants that he studied at home.
The walking tour starts and ends at his residence in Dessau, the Kandinsky/Klee Masters' House.
