Discover the wonders of the Sacred Valley and the iconic Machu Picchu on this immersive 2-day excursion from Cusco. Begin your adventure with pick-up from your Cusco hotel, followed by a panoramic tour of the Sacred Valley, where you will explore ancient Inca sites with an expert guide. Participate in an experiential sightseeing tour in Chincheros, visiting the handicraft market, colonial temple and archaeological remains. We continue to another important point of the Sacred Valley, Moray which was a very beautiful Inca agricultural experimentation centre, the guide will give you all the tour and explain the most important, then we head to the salt mines of Maras, this is a large area made up of about 3 thousand natural salt wells fed by an Inca subway spring, which are still being worked today. From there we will head to Urubamba for lunch (Optional $20 USD per person).
After lunch we will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress, finally we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes. The train ride is approximately 2 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive around 5:00 PM, where we will spend the night at the selected hotel (Machu Picchu Village).

The second day, your guide will take you to the bus station to take the bus to Machu Picchu which is about 30 mins approx. upon arrival at the majestic citadel will begin the guided tour, you will visit the most important places such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Enclosures, etc.. After the guided tour you will have free time to explore the city on your own (optional hike and ascent to Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu mountain has an extra cost of $ 70 USD per person).

After the Machu Picchu tour we will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco, the return will follow the same route as the outbound trip, arriving at Ollantaytambo train station, we will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco. We will be arriving in Cusco at approximately 6:30 pm.
