Discover Florida's springs with the original clear kayak tour company in Crystal River. Since 2018 we've run small-group tours led by expert local guides, in 100% clear tandem kayaks with comfortable high-end seating.
Kings Bay sits in Citrus County — the Manatee Capital of the World® — and what you'll see depends on when you come. We run two tours based on the season, and you'll choose yours when you book.
THREE SISTERS SPRINGS TOUR (April 1 – November 14)
Paddle the calm, spring-fed waters of Kings Bay out to Three Sisters Springs, one of the most striking spring systems in Florida. Turquoise, 72° year-round, and you'll have time to swim. Turtles, fish, and birds are on the water all season. Manatees are occasional in the warmer months.
MANATEE SEASON TOUR (November 15 – March 31)
When the Gulf drops below 68°, hundreds of manatees move into the warm springs of Kings Bay. You'll watch them from a clear kayak — a manatee gliding beneath a transparent hull is a better view than a snorkeller gets, and it doesn't disturb the animal. This is a no-swim tour. We practice passive observation only, in line with FWC manatee protection guidelines, and we do not enter the Three Sisters Springs sanctuary during manatee season.
WHAT TO EXPECT EITHER WAY
Two hours on the water. Ten guests maximum. A guide who knows where the wildlife has been that week and where the water is clearest that day. Photos taken by your guide at no extra cost.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — these are wild animals on open water. Cold days are the best manatee days.
