What you can expect

Begin your adventure on the north slopes of Psiloritis, the highest and most mythical mountain in Crete. Set off on a well-maintained trail, climbing to the peak of Timios Stavros, which stands at 2,456 metres.

After a demanding 3-hour hike, reach the summit and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the island. Discover a small stone church at the top, built in the style of a Cretan “mitato” (traditional shepherds’ mountain-house/shelter), a testament to the interaction between the Cretans and the landscape.

After your experience on the top of Crete, return the same way back to the starting point. Optionally, spend time in a local traditional Kafeneio for a refresher.
