We'll have our first technical stop at an altitude of 2,945 metres above sea level (9,662.07 feet) for acclimatisation, and photographs.

Interpretive Centre allows you to learn more about the Cotopaxi National Park. Visit the four rooms of the Interpretation Centre to explore the Cotopaxi National Park ecosystem.
Continue by vehicle to the parking area at 4,600 m.a.s.l (15,091.86 feet).
Hike to José Rivas Refuge
At an impressive altitude of 4,864 metres (15,748.03 feet), this hike offers a unique opportunity to experience high-altitude beauty without needing technical equipment or prior mountaineering experience. Our guided trek takes you through awe-inspiring landscapes, passing by rugged terrain and sweeping vistas of the surrounding Andean peaks.

Walk around Limpiopungo Lagoon
As you stroll along its shores, you'll be enchanted by the reflection of the snow-capped mountains on the crystal-clear waters, creating a mesmerising scene perfect for photography and quiet contemplation. The lagoon is a haven for birdwatchers, with various species of waterfowl and Andean birds gracing the area.
