At the Collowara Observatory, located in the Commune of Andacollo, you can observe the sky through telescopes and with the naked eye.
There'll be a talk on astronomy, and the instruments are digital, ending with the dome of the place.
It's got some pretty good telescopes: the main 14” Schmidt Cassegrain telescope in the dome, two 10” Schmidt-Newtonian secondary telescopes, three 16” Dobsonian manual telescopes (one 8” and one 10”), and a 60 mm Daystar H-alpha Scout solar telescope. It has a steel and aluminium dome that rotates 360° in both directions, housing the main 14” Smith Cassegrain telescope, which includes a moon walk as part of its menu and also allows astronomical photographs to be taken using a CCD camera.
