At the Collowara Observatory, located in the Andacollo Commune, we observe the sky through telescopes and with the naked eye.
There will be a talk on astronomy, and the instruments are digital, ending with the observatory's dome.
It has good-quality telescopes: the 14¨ Schmidt-Cassegrain primary telescope located in the dome, two 10¨ Schmidt-Newtonian secondary telescopes, three 16¨ Dobsonian manual telescopes, one 8¨ and one 10¨, and a 60 mm Daystar H-alpha Scout solar telescope. It has a steel and aluminium dome that rotates 360° in both directions, housing the 14” Schmidt Cassegrain main telescope, which includes a lunar hike as part of its menu and also allows astronomical photographs to be taken using a CCD camera.
