What you can expect

Discover the ancient ruins of Macro and the archaeological site of Kuélap on a guided tour from Chachapoyas. Ride the first cable car in Peru and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Start your tour with a pick-up from the main square in Chachapoyas. Head to the archaeological site of Macro and learn about the complex of rooms built into the side of a hill.

Next, head to the village of Nuevo Tingo and then to the cable car station. Hop on the cable car and ride for 20 minutes to Malca Pampa. Admire the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as you travel.

Arrive at the Interpretation Room and the exterior area of Kuélap. Pass by the ceremonial enclosures, circular rooms, and other structures. After your tour, return to Chachapoyas.
