The history of Boulogne-sur-Mer: 25 centuries of history, from the Morini, a people of the 4th century, to the present day. Boulogne-sur-Mer was also a Roman stronghold, then a strategic point of defence against the English in the Middle Ages, before becoming, in the 19th century, the ideal place, according to the young Napoleon, to attempt to invade England. It is also the birthplace of one of the fathers of Egyptology, Auguste Mariette.

The tour is a walk of about one hour in the historic old town. Please bring comfortable shoes and something to cover your head (cap/hat, umbrella, raincoat, etc.).
