Overview

  • Explore the heart of one of France's most beautiful cities with a local expert guide. Choose a shared or private walking tour which takes you through Bordeaux's UNESCO-listed historic centre, uncovering the stories behind its grand 18th-century architecture, iconic landmarks, and vibrant street life.

You'll visit the city's most celebrated highlights, including Place de la Bourse and the famous Miroir d'Eau, the Gothic spires of Saint-André Cathedral, the elegant Porte Cailhau, and the Grand Théâtre — one of Europe's finest neoclassical opera houses. Along the way, your guide will bring Bordeaux's history to life, from its Roman origins and role in the global wine trade to its dramatic 18th-century transformation under urban planner Tourny.

Groups are kept small to ensure a personal experience with plenty of time for questions. The shared group tour guides work on a tips-only basis, so you pay what you feel the experience was worth at the end.
