Step into Banff’s forest landscape for a guided forest therapy (forest swimming) experience designed to help you slow down, breathe deeper, and reconnect with nature. Rather than focusing on pace or distance, this session invites you to move mindfully and engage your senses through gentle, guided activities in the woods.
Meet at the Spray River West Trailhead, just beyond the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.
Together you will follow an easy forest trail as your certified guide leads sensory-based invitations using sight, sound, touch, and breath. Expect light walking and frequent pauses to notice the surroundings, reset your attention, and settle into the natural rhythm of the forest.
Over 90 minutes, you’ll cover up to 2 km (1.2 miles) with minimal elevation gain (up to 30 m / 100 ft). The pace is relaxed and accessible for a wide range of fitness levels, with time for stillness, reflection, and mindful connection with the environment.
To close, enjoy a forest tea experience—a simple, grounding finish that brings the group together and leaves space to carry the calm of the forest into the rest of your day.
