Spend your afternoon at the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua with Deluxe Lake Spa entry. Soak in five mineral hot pools from 36 to 41°C on the shore of Lake Rotorua, then try the cold plunge pool. Towels and a locker are included.

Your day starts with a drive south from Auckland through the farmland of the Waikato region, with a coffee stop, and through Tīrau, a town known for its corrugated iron art. Your first stop is Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. Spend about 90 minutes walking past the Champagne Pool, the Artist's Palette and bubbling mud pools.

After lunch, which is included, it is time for the spa. Your guide also takes you on a short driving tour of Rotorua, past Government Gardens, the Blue Baths and Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring). Then relax on the drive back to Auckland, with extra stops for photos on the way.
