Baluarte de San Carlos/Museo de la Ciudad (Pass by)

This bastion is the first built in the city's defensive system. It is dedicated to King Charles II of Spain. It has a pentagonal architecture with thick walls of 2.5 metres, designed to withstand cannonballs.

Extemplo de San José (Pass by)

Welcome to the Plaza Héctor Pérez Martínez, better known by the locals as Concha Acústica. We are here in the Barrio de San Román, one of the historic areas located just outside the old fortified city of Campeche.

Monumento a la Madre (Pass by)

The statue located here was made in 1937 by the Calderón brothers, sculptors from Mérida. It pays tribute to motherhood and maternal love. It represents a mother breastfeeding her child, a symbol of protection and tenderness.

Baluarte de Santa Rosa (Pass by)

This bastion is dedicated to Saint Rose of Lima, a saint venerated in the colonies, notably for her protection against pirates. It is a symbol of protection and resistance, with a pentagonal shape and an imposing structure made of ashlar stone and sahcab, a local mortar.
