What you can expect

Embark on a full-day journey to uncover the beauty and history of Catalonia. From the medieval streets of Girona — consistently ranked among the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval cities in Spain — to the timeless Costa Brava coastline and the enchanting medieval villages of the Catalan countryside, this tour offers a perfect blend of history, culture and breathtaking landscapes.

We depart in the morning from Estación de Francia in a comfortable air-conditioned coach. After approximately 1h15 we arrive in Girona, where your local expert guide will lead you through the timeless charm of its medieval Old Town. Walk the narrow cobblestone streets of the Call Jueu — one of the best- preserved medieval Jewish quarters in all of Europe — where centuries of history, tradition and quiet beauty still linger between the stone walls. Wander past golden-stone façades, hidden squares and the soft colours of a city that seems painted by hand, climb the medieval city walls for sweeping panoramic views, visit the majestic Cathedral with the widest Gothic nave in the world and stroll the elegant Rambla de la Llibertat. Throughout the experience, your guide brings to life the legends, stories and atmosphere that have made Girona one of the most beautiful and best-loved historic cities in all of Spain.

After this immersive guided experience, we board the coach and head into the medieval heart of the Catalan countryside. You will visit a Catalan medieval village, a stone jewel where time seems to have stopped. A guided walk reveals well-preserved fortifications, narrow alleys and picturesque squares — a window into rural Catalan
life centuries ago.

We close the day in one of the most charming, historic and picturesque fishing villages of the entire Costa Brava — and without a doubt one of the most beautiful spots on the whole Spanish coast: whitewashed houses cascading down to the water, traditional fishing boats moored in crystal-clear coves, narrow seafront paths and centuries of maritime history breathing through every corner. You will have 2 hours of free time to choose where to eat (lunch not included), swim in the coves, photograph the postcard scenes or simply soak in the unmistakable Mediterranean atmosphere. We then return to Barcelona by coach, arriving at Estación de Francia in the late afternoon.
