Unlike the ocean, the beach at Cypress Springs is free of rip tides. This allows you an easier time if you decide to venture under the surface of the spring. Like the beaches of Northwest Florida, the water at Cypress Springs stays shallow around the shore and gradually gets deeper until you reach the middle where there's a drop off and the water reaches a depth of about 23 feet.
