Discover Upolu’s natural beauty on a shore excursion designed especially for cruise passengers. Join local guide Shawn or Janette in one small group of up to nine guests for refreshing swims, coastal scenery and stories of Samoan culture and island life.

Meet your guide at Apia Harbour and travel through traditional villages and lush tropical landscapes to Piula Cave Pool. Enjoy an optional swim in its clear, spring-fed freshwater or relax beside the pool.

Continue to the spectacular To Sua Ocean Trench. Explore the tropical gardens and admire the turquoise water below. Swimming requires climbing down and back up a steep ladder; guests who prefer to stay above can enjoy the gardens and coastal views.

Next, unwind at Lalomanu Beach. Swim, stroll along the white sand or relax with views of the offshore islands. Stop at a beachfront restaurant where lunch and cold drinks are available to purchase.

On the return journey, stop at Papapapaitai Falls for photographs of the waterfall cascading into a lush rainforest valley.

Your tour includes port pickup and return, a local guide, entry fees, air-conditioned transport, bottled water and snacks. Swimming is optional at every stop. Solo travellers, couples and families are welcome.

Departure is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Please arrive a few minutes early if your ship’s arrival allows. If your ship arrives later, we will adjust departure and be there to meet you. The itinerary and time at each stop are planned around your ship’s all-aboard time.
