Stops on the “Zaragoza with Flavour” Tour:
Plaza San Felipe / Restaurante Montal: We start in the historic Plaza San Felipe, surrounded by Renaissance palaces and the site of the now-vanished Torre Nueva, a symbol of Zaragoza. At Montal, a building steeped in history, we'll savour a tapa of battered artichoke in its wine cellars, connecting with the Ebro Valley's farmland and the wines of Aragon.
El Tubo / El Corral de la Delfina: We'll explore El Tubo, a labyrinth of narrow streets and the heart of traditional tapas culture, famous for its atmosphere and its history. At El Corral de la Delfina, an iconic bar, we'll savour the famous “Guardia Civil” tapa or beef cheek, a classic of the local tapas scene.
Puerta Cinegia Food Market: We'll finish at this modern food market, located above the ancient Roman entrance to the city and near Calle 4 de Agosto, a key site during the Peninsular War. Here, we'll savour an exclusive small casserole of rice with meat or fish, saying goodbye with views of the Augustus of Prima Porta.
