Built between the 14th and 15th century Wat Chedi Luang, this impressive and famous temple is known for having the largest stupa in the city. As well as its towering chedi, Wat Chedi Luang was also the home of the Emerald Buddha which is now housed at Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok. Wat Phan Tao: compared to Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phan Tao will seem quite modest in size. However, don't let its size fool you! This small temple is made of intricately carved teak wood. It was also once the throne room for King Mahotara Prateth before becoming a special house of prayer.
Wat Phra Singh is a stunning and lavish building built in the 14th century and is known as one of the finest temples in the city. With stunning grounds, acclaimed design, and a mosaic-encrusted sanctuary, there's plenty to see and admire including a massive Lion Buddha statue, gilded pagodas, artistic murals, and historic statues.
