On Day 4, you'll journey from Punakha to Phobjikha, covering approximately 79 kilometres in about 2 hours, including driving time. As you traverse the scenic route, you'll be treated to picturesque views of the Bhutanese countryside.

The Black-Necked Crane Centre in Phobjikha Valley is a must-visit for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Dedicated to the conservation of the endangered black-necked cranes, this centre provides fascinating insights into these majestic birds that migrate to Bhutan from Tibet every winter. As you traverse the winding roads, you'll witness the natural beauty of the countryside unfold before you, offering a glimpse into the heart of this enchanting kingdom. As you drive towards Paro from Punakha, you will have the opportunity to visit Tachog Lhakhang and its iconic iron bridge. This ancient temple, located near Paro, is steeped in history and spirituality. Crossing the traditional iron chain bridge has been prohibited now due to its old age.
