What you can expect

Spend 7 days travelling along Ireland's southwestern and western coasts. Depart from Dublin and travel through Gougane Barra on your way to the Beara Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Bay, the Skellig Islands, and the Cliffs of Moher on an adventure jam packed with sights and activities.

Day 1: Dublin, Rock of Cashel & Gougane Barra Depart from Dublin and drive through the Curragh Racecourse, part of the set from Braveheart. Visit the Rock of Cashel and pass through Cork before kissing the Blarney Stone. Continue southwest until you arrive in Gougane Barra, where you spend the night.

Day 2: Beara Peninsula Resume your journey down the Atlantic coastline before arriving at the Beara Peninsula. Explore the rugged wild, spotting seals and walking to coastal castles, before sitting down to lunch at McCarthy's Bar in Castletownbere. Head to Kenmare for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kenmare, Ring of Kerry & Portmagee Tour the beautiful town of Kenmare in the morning, before setting off for a day on the Ring of Kerry. Marvel at the gorgeous countryside along this scenic loop. Walk along beaches, visit a working sheep farm, and spend the night in the remote fishing village—and once smuggling town—of Portmagee.

Day 4: Dingle Bay & Skellig Islands Drive on the northern half of the Ring of Kerry to the Dingle Peninsula. Choose to take a boat to the gorgeous Skellig Islands for a day trip. Hike the steep steps to the ancient monastery—the filming location for the final scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens—before returning to Portmagee. If you choose to not cruise to the islands, enjoy a day of sightseeing in Portmagee.

Day 5: Dingle Peninsula Choose how much sightseeing you want to do on a day spent exploring the Dingle Peninsula. Travel to the most westerly point in Ireland, and choose any activities that you want to do, depending on whether you want a more active or relaxing experience.

Day 6: Clare County & Cliffs of Moher Leave Dingle and travel north to take a ferry across the Shannon River into Clare County. Drive to the top of Conor Pass, walk around the beautiful Lough Annascaul. Choose from outdoor activities in Castlegregory or go for a relaxing walk on the beach. Admire the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher—700-foot (210-m) sea cliffs.

Day 7: Return to Dublin Make your way up north and head towards Galway. Enjoy the atmosphere of this culturally rich city—including lunch—before finishing the final leg back to Dublin. Choose to stop at Kilbeggan Whisky Distillery along the way for a memorable toast to your adventures.
