What you can expect

  • Return transport from Asunción to private areas of high biodiversity in the San Rafael National Park Reserve and its surroundings.
    A sightseeing tour for enthusiasts of birdwatching and/or bird photography, wildlife in general, and native flora.
    Accompanied by expert guides, we will explore various trails and paths in forest environments (the Atlantic Forest of Alto Paraná), grasslands, and wetlands, where we can spot a wide variety of native and migratory species, some of which are listed as threatened in terms of their conservation (according to the IUCN), within Paraguay's first Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA).
    The sightseeing tour includes all meals (breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners), accommodation in the reserves (comfortable facilities in both areas that will serve as our base), and all transfers.
    The levels of difficulty of each particular tour can be adapted to the travellers' needs, with many customisable options.
    We will also go on night-time observation outings (owling, herping, etc.) in safe and carefully managed environments where we can carry out these activities with peace of mind.
