Get to know Puerto Madryn on a 4-day outing that lets you enjoy the shores of Patagonia, with easy access to Valdés Peninsula and Punta Tombo.
Day 1 When you arrive, meet your driver for the transfer that brings you to your 3-star hotel. Get settled in, and then enjoy free time for the rest of the day to get to know the city.
Day 2 On this day you will discover the famous Peninsula Valdes Natural Reserve ! Begin the day with a stop at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Centre for a panoramic view of the Nuevo and San Jose gulfs. Your guides will explain a bit about the region's ecosystem before you move on to the village of Puerto Pirámides. From there you can set out on a whale-watching vessel (only from June to December) at your own expense.
The tour continues to the protected reserve of Caleta Valdes, a strip of beach that hosts a settlement of southern elephant seals.
Day 3 We will pick you up in the morning and embark in to our sighting of dolphins. We must take into account that these animals live in freedom, so our luck in finding them depends on the dolphins. Then we will return to the port of Rawson and we will have free time for lunch (not included). Then we will go to Punta Tombo to see the Magellan penguin. We also can appreciate various native animals like gulls, skuas, giant petrels, cormorants, oystercatchers, ducks and if we are lucky guanacos, choiques, maras and foxes. We will be returning to Puerto Madryn in the afternoon. (Subject to weather conditions)
Day 4 The excursion draws to a close with a transfer that carries you back to the airport for your departing flight.
