Overview

We will be visiting a destination recognised as a Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO), discovering incredible landscapes and monuments, towns, and cultures. We will visit unique towns such as Purmamarca, famous for the Hill of the 7 Colours, Maimará with its Painter's Palettes, Tilcara stands out for its Pucará (high mountain fortress) whose ruins have been partially destroyed. The tour also visits Uquia and the ceramic factory and then the city of Humahuaca, whose town is the largest in the Quebrada.

The Salinas Grandes excursion from Salta will allow you to discover the most interesting places. Marvel at the Cerro de los Siete Colores, pose for photos in the striking white salt flats of Salinas Grandes and shop for souvenirs at the famous Purmamarca crafts market. We will leave from the city of Salta, leaving through the central access of the city, taking the RN 9 and then entering the municipality of General Güemes, through the RN 34. Later we enter the province of Jujuy, where we will have the opportunity to know a little piece of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, passing through picturesque towns such as Yala, Volcán (technical stop) and Purmamarca where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores

Purmamarca

First stop in the town of Purmamarca to have a panoramic photo from the route, in front of the town, since the position of the sun in the morning radically changes its colours. In this first stop we will be approximately 20 minutes.
Cuesta de Lipan

We enter the incredible Cuesta de Lipán, where we will take 4,170 metres above sea level and we will be able to appreciate its spectacular flora and fauna. It is a winding high mountain road, majestic with its green and brown colours showing us the beautiful landscapes of the puna.
Salinas Grandes

We arrive at the third largest salt flat in Latin America where we will be between 45 minutes to 1 hour free, to be able to tour the salt pools, sculptures, salt restaurant and take incredible photos in this huge salt flat in northern Argentina.
Purmamarca

We return to Purmamarca and they will be able to enjoy 2 free hours to tour the beautiful town and have lunch. Imposing hill of 7 colours nestled in the heart of town with its narrow, cobbled streets and adobe and mud houses.
Salta
