Day 1: Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park – Full-Day Game Drive Safari
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a convenient pickup from your hotel by our professional driver, who will also provide your return transfer after the safari.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will check in for your scheduled flight to Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park, one of the largest national parks in Tanzania. Once you arrive, your professional safari guide will welcome you and take you on an exciting full-day game drive through the park’s beautiful landscapes and rich wildlife habitats.
During the game drive, you will have the opportunity to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and many other fascinating wildlife species in their natural environment. You will also enjoy a delicious hot lunch inside the national park while taking in the beauty of the African wilderness.
After an unforgettable day exploring the park, you will return to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.
Day 2: Boat Safari on the Rufiji River – Maasai Village Visit – Fly Back to Zanzibar
After breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a relaxing shared boat safari along the magnificent Rufiji River. As the largest river in Tanzania, the Rufiji offers excellent opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species. With some luck, you may also spot elephants and other wildlife along the riverbanks, making this a memorable experience in the heart of nature.
Following the boat safari, you will visit a traditional Maasai village to discover the culture and traditions of one of Tanzania’s best-known ethnic communities. During your visit, you will learn about the Maasai way of life, enjoy traditional dances, and witness demonstrations of traditional fire-making techniques using wood. A local guide will share insights into their customs, daily activities, and cultural heritage.
After the village visit, you will return to the lodge for a delicious lunch and some time to relax before your departure. Later in the afternoon, our team will transfer you to Mtemere Airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable two-day safari adventure in Nyerere National Park.
