The temple compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and the second-largest in Southeast Asia after Angkor Wat. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu architecture, and by the towering 47-metre-high (154 ft) central building inside a large complex of individual temples. Ramayana Ballet Prambanan is a visualisation of Kakawin Ramayana, Javanese version of Ramayana storey, performed near the Prambanan temple, Indonesia.[1] The Ramayana Ballet at the Prambanan isn't like the Western ballet performance, It's more like the Wayang wong. The entire Ramayana storey consist of four episodes and full storey, each night one episode, in four clear night and full moon each month May through October, of which First, the Abduction of Dewi Sita, Second, Hanuman on fire, Third, death of Kumbakarna, and the last, Rama meet Sita.

Ramayana Prambanan is a show that combines dance and drama without dialogue, based on the Ramayana storey, it’s performed near Prambanan Temple on Java Island, Indonesia. Ramayana Prambanan performs since 1961.
