Golden Dragon Parade is an intangible cultural heritage of Guilin, a signature night water show on Yulong River in Yangshuo, featured on CCTV Spring Festival Gala 2024.
Dozens of bamboo rafts are linked end to end to form a giant golden dragon, with handcrafted illuminated dragon head and golden oil-paper umbrellas as dragon scales. Lit up at night, the kilometer-long glowing dragon winds through karst peaks and clear river water.
The activity includes traditional dragon dotting blessing ceremony. The dragon cruises from Yulong Bridge around the river island and returns, lasting about 1 hour, with mist and fire effects from the dragon head. Fireworks are added on holidays. It combines local folk songs and cormorant fishing culture, offering an immersive Chinese-style night tour experience.
Each dragon raft can seat up to two people. The combined weight of two passengers must be under 160kg, and a single passenger must be under 100kg.
Pregnant women, the elderly over 70 years old (including 70 years old), patients with heart disease, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, alcoholics and people with limited mobility are strictly prohibited from taking rafts.
Children under one metre tall are strictly prohibited from rafting, and children over one metre tall (including one metre) must ride with adults.
Safety requirements for two-person bamboo raft: 1 The total weight of two people should not exceed 160 kg; 2 Any single person weighs more than 100 kg, and it is forbidden to share the same raft with others. If you meet any of the above conditions, you must take the raft and charge according to the raft.
