What you can expect

Enjoy a private guided tour (closed group) without strangers. Please note that since January 2024, the city guide must collect a solidarity contribution for the preservation of Vienna's cemeteries in the amount of EUR 3 per person in cash on site.

The Vienna Central Cemetery - the most important burial ground in Vienna and Austria. What was initially a much-criticized cemetery has now become one of the most beautiful and magnificent cemeteries in Vienna.

As the old saying goes, everyone is equal in death. At the Vienna Central Cemetery, this probably only applies to the area underground. Splendour and fame, prestige and prosperity are impressively documented beyond life. See the historic monumental graves of many famous people from the 19th century.

The 20th century is represented in a simpler yet still artistically valuable way. Among them are the graves of Udo Jürgens, Hans Moser and Franz West. Falco's grave can be integrated into the cemetery tour upon request. You will need a little more time for this, as Falco is buried in a very remote location.

In a dominant position, almost in the middle, stands the magnificent cemetery church in the Viennese Art Nouveau style. On a guided tour of the cemetery church, you will learn more about the fascinating history of its architecture.
