Explore the archaeological site of Akrotiri on a private guided walking tour. Discover Santorini's prehistoric settlement, stroll around the paved streets and squares, and the remains of high-building complexes, in a city where every corner holds a piece of the past waiting to be discovered.
After meeting your guide right at the entrance of the archaeological site, grab your tickets and start an unforgettable trip to the past. Explore a well-preserved 4,000-year-old settlement that was buried under volcanic ashes after a strong eruption around 1600 B.C.
Learn how society was organised and how people lived their lives back then. Walk around some 2-3 storied buildings, see kitchens and toilet facilities, paved streets and squares, and their drainage system. Your guide will show you photos of the original wall paintings that used to decorate the buildings.
As you explore, hear about the theories that connect the site with the myth of the lost city of Atlantis.
Whether or not you are a history enthusiast, this guided tour of Akrotiri is an experience not to be missed.
