Overview

  • Explore Salem's 1692 witch trials, ghost legends, maritime history, and connections to Hocus Pocus and Bewitched with licensed guide Tarn C. Stephanos.

Born in Salem, raised in neighbouring Swampscott, and a Salem State University graduate, Tarn personally leads every tour. He has guided Boston Harbour tours since the 1990s and led Salem ghost tours in the late 1990s and early 2000s. His experience also includes giving tours at Titanic artefact exhibitions across North America.

Hear haunting legends at the Joshua Ward House and Hawthorne Hotel, discover filming locations, and remember the victims at the Witch Trials Memorial. Along the way, explore historic architecture, seafaring stories, and Salem's transformation into a Halloween destination.

This independently operated tour combines a lifelong love of history with a personal connection to Salem, with time for questions and photographs. All building stops are exterior visits.
