Guests will be welcomed with a traditional aperitif and a selection of local cured meats, cheeses and homemade bread. After a short introduction, they will prepare homemade makaruli pasta and learn about the history and traditions behind Šporki makaruli, one of Dubrovnik’s best-known festive dishes. Working in a small group and with guidance from the chef, guests will take part in the key stages of preparing and cooking the meal. Some elements that require a long cooking time will be prepared in advance. Guests will also learn how to make rozata, Dubrovnik’s traditional caramel custard dessert. During the experience, guests will enjoy two glasses of local wine paired with the food, as well as water and homemade non-alcoholic refreshments. At the end of the class, everyone will sit down together and enjoy the dishes they have prepared. Guests will receive the recipes so they can recreate the experience at home.
