Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's hill country capital — rolling tea plantations, cool mountain air, and waterfalls at every turn. This private taxi tour is built for families and larger groups who want the comfort of a van, with room for everyone.
You're guaranteed a visit to one tea factory — Labookellie, Kingswood, or Blue Field Tea Gardens — with the other two included if time allows. Labookellie and Kingswood offer a free tea tasting; at Blue Field, tasting is available for a small fee. At Kingswood and Blue Field, you can also try the tea-picking experience — dress up as a tea plucker, basket and all, for some great photos among the plantations.
Then it's on to Ramboda Falls, a dramatic multi-tiered waterfall — swim if the weather allows.
Pickup is available from Nanu Oya train station or your hotel — an easy Nuwara Eliya day trip in the comfort of your own private taxi.
