Your experience begins with return transport from Puerto Vallarta. Pick-up is one hour before your scheduled departure at Calle Morelos 527, Centro, outside Vibin Bar & Grill. From there, enjoy a scenic 30-minute drive south to our beach club in Mismaloya.
If you prefer to arrive on your own, meet your guide at our beach club 30 minutes before departure. Once everyone is ready, we’ll provide your equipment and a short safety briefing before setting out from Mismaloya Beach towards Los Arcos National Marine Park.
Depending on the season and lunar conditions, your adventure will take place before sunrise or after sunset, giving us the best opportunity to experience bioluminescence. As darkness surrounds you, dip your paddle into the water and watch as tiny marine organisms can create flashes of light with every movement.
With no motors or engine noise, you’ll experience the ocean in a completely different way. Listen to the sound of your paddle, the waves, and the surrounding wildlife as you make your way towards Los Arcos under the night sky.
Arriving at one of Puerto Vallarta’s most iconic natural landmarks, paddle between dramatic rock formations and explore sea caves and grottos. Along the way, your local guide will share stories and interesting facts about the history, wildlife, and unique ecosystem of Los Arcos.
You’ll also have the opportunity to get into the water for a snorkelling adventure and discover the marine life beneath the surface. Because we visit before or after the busiest daytime hours, you can experience a quieter and more peaceful side of this spectacular marine sanctuary.
The adventure doesn’t end when you return to shore. Back at our beach club, relax by the fire with seasonal fruit, cookies, marshmallows, and a warm cup of hot chocolate while enjoying the atmosphere of Mismaloya Beach.
Your guide will also take photos throughout the experience, so you can focus on enjoying the adventure. All photos are included at no additional cost.
The experience lasts approximately 3 hours and covers around 2–3 nautical miles. Return transport from our meeting point in Puerto Vallarta, equipment, snorkelling gear, photos, and refreshments are included.
More than simply watching bioluminescence, this is an opportunity to paddle through it, explore Los Arcos away from the crowds, and experience the ocean from a completely different perspective.
