Pickup from Lombok
Pickup is available from:
- Bangsal Harbour: around 8:30 AM
- Senggigi: around 9:30 AM
- Mataram: around 10:00 AM
Pickup times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, hotel location, or road conditions. Please be ready 10–15 minutes before the estimated pickup time.
Journey to Sumbawa
Travel by vehicle to Kayangan Harbour for approximately 2 hours, then take a public ferry to Poto Tano Harbour for around 1.5–2 hours. From Poto Tano, continue by road to Labuan Jambu, the gateway to Saleh Bay.
The total journey usually takes around 8–10 hours or longer. Delays may occur due to ferry queues, traffic, weather, road conditions, or ferry schedules, which are controlled by the ferry operator.
Shared Transport

- 4 or more participants: A private vehicle will be provided for your group for the return between Lombok and Sumbawa.
Arrival in Labuan Jambu is usually around 8:00 PM, followed by check-in and rest.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided at a local hotel or guest house in Labuan Jambu. As the area is relatively remote and has limited accommodation options, the property may have different facilities and standards from city or star-rated hotels.

Whale Shark Adventure
At around 4:00 AM, you will travel to the harbour to board a traditional wooden Begog boat towards the bagang traditional fishing platforms. The boat journey usually takes around 1 hour or longer, depending on sea conditions and the location of the whale sharks.
Snorkelling usually begins around 7:00 AM, although the timing may vary depending on weather, sea conditions, and whale shark activity. After snorkelling, enjoy a simple breakfast on the boat, including coffee, tea, bread, and fruit.
Important Wildlife Information
Whale sharks are wild animals that live freely in the ocean. We do not feed or control them, so whale shark sightings cannot be guaranteed Fishing activity around the bagang naturally attracts fish and plankton, which are part of the whale sharks' food source.
Based on our experience, the estimated chance of encountering whale sharks is around 80–90%, but this is not guaranteed. Whale sharks may appear close to the boat, remain visible only briefly, stay at a distance, or may not be seen at all.
If whale sharks are not found, the trip will continue as scheduled. No refund or compensation will be provided if whale sharks are not sighted as their presence and behaviour are beyond the operator's control.
