What you can expect

  • No strangers, no crowded decks: this catamaran is yours for the trip. Bring up to 14 friends or family, choose your music and let our skipper show you Lisbon from the river.

    We meet at Doca de Belém, a few steps from the Monument to the Discoveries. The crew welcomes you aboard with a safety briefing and a bottle of wine for the group, and then we cast off.

    Choose Your Trip
    2 hours: Lisbon from the water. Belém Tower, the 25 de Abril Bridge, Cristo Rei, Praça do Comércio and the rooftops of Alfama.
    3 hours: sightseeing, then we drop anchor off Algés or Cruz Quebrada for a swim.
    4 hours: more time in the water, in the calmer bays of Caxias, Paço de Arcos or Santo Amaro de Oeiras, with or without a city loop.

    You can pick any departure time, sunset included. If you’d rather not work out the timing yourself, book our Private Sunset Cruise instead: its departures are already set to match each day’s sunset.

    Life on Board
    Most guests head straight for the flybridge: a fully cushioned deck about 3.5 m above the water, with a sunshade when you need it. Up front, two big loungers and two dolphin seats sit right above the waves. Below, there is a shaded deck with a table, an indoor lounge, a bathroom and a cabin to leave your bags. Connect your phone into the Bluetooth speakers and the playlist is yours.

    Book ahead and we’ll have it ready: a BBQ grilled on board (3 hours or more), sharing boards and Portuguese tapas, sushi, brunch, an open bar with cocktails made by our crew, a live DJ, paddle boards, or decorations for birthdays, romantic surprises and hen nights. You’ll receive the full menu after booking.

    Who We Are
    Royal Marine Boat Tours was started in 2018 by brothers Miguel and Pedro, who were 18 and 21 when they rebuilt their first catamaran by hand. We are a licensed tour operator (RNAAT 1940/2018), Clean & Safe certified and a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice winner in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Our crew speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.

    The price is for the whole boat. Split between 14 people, the 2-hour cruise costs about €31 each.
