What you can expect

  • Surf Day Schedule

    We pick you up between 8:00 and 9:00 AM from various meeting points across Lagos, Praia da Luz, and Burgau. Your exact pick-up time and meeting point will be sent to you the evening before your lesson. Please note that the schedule may vary depending on the surfing conditions, as we always aim to choose the best time and location for your surf experience.

    If you prefer to make your own way to the beach, you can also meet us directly at the beach.

    From there, we drive to the best surf spot of the day on either the South or West Coast of the Algarve, depending on the conditions.

    Once at the beach, we provide all the necessary surf equipment. Your lesson starts with a safety briefing, warm-up, short theory session, and practice on the sand before heading into the water.

    Each lesson lasts approximately 2.5 hours, including around 2 hours of surfing time in the water.

    After the lesson, you can relax and enjoy a drink at a beach café while we take care of the equipment. We then bring you back to Lagos, usually between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, depending on the location of the surf spot and the conditions of the day.

    Important Information for Families

    **Children under 14 years old cannot participate in a group lesson without an adult. For example, two children aged 17 and 13 may participate without an accompanying adult, but two children aged 10 and 12 cannot attend a group lesson on their own.

    If booking for children under 14, please include at least one adult in the group booking, or choose a private lesson.

    About Us

    Our surf school has been operating in Lagos since 2008 and is one of the most experienced surf schools in the Algarve. We offer both group and private surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers.

    Group lessons: Maximum 8 students per instructor. Groups may include participants of different ages and skill levels. During the high season, the total number of participants may occasionally reach up to 24, although this is rare. Regardless of the total group size, each instructor works with a maximum of 8 students.

    Private lessons: For 1–3 people, offering more personalised coaching and individual attention.

    Our head coach is a certified trainer with over 30 years of surfing experience and 18 years of teaching experience. He personally trains our team of young and enthusiastic instructors, ensuring high-quality, safe, and professional lessons.
