Meet your guide in the Gion district and begin your walking tour. Stroll along the Shirakawa River, a picturesque area with cobblestone streets, willow trees, and traditional townhouses. If you're lucky, you might even spot a maiko (apprentice geisha) walking by.

Next, head to Hanamikoji Street, a famous street lined with teahouses and restaurants where the geisha culture is still very much alive. As night falls, the street becomes even more enchanting with its softly glowing lanterns.
